Teams scurry to get Christmas lights installed on all the palms lining Sebring Village streets
More than two dozen elves descended on Sebring Village for the annual decorating of the palms trees throughout the park. Park volunteers gathered after Thanksgiving to wrap trees throughout the park.
Committee chairmen Harry Gray and Max Bonkoski put together the men and women for the task. Gray and Bonkoski’s team consisted of Grant Scharf, Bob Dill, John Elton, Jacques Poitras, and Jill Poitras for the east side of Village Drive and Cirrus.
Mike Davis’s team included Ozzie Colon and Roy Beausoleil and covered streets Charm, Chablis, Carney, Carmen,Cattail, Caper, Chance, Casper,Centra, Colby, and Clearview.
Larry Sheibe’s team included Dennis and Nancy Morley, Ron and Pat Robinson and Lyn Shearer decorating Dewitt, Contour and Caine.
Neil Knutson’s team of Al Curry, Joe Croyle, Wayne Boik and Mike Corradino completed the west side of Village Drive.
The front gate and clubhouse were lighted by Bob Baynard, Kurt Hambrecht, Dan Rousell and Rick Moe.
Bonkoski gave an honorable mention to John Rolls and Bill Curtis for their additional assistance.
