The Sebring Village Garden Club will take a field trip Saturday, October 20 to the Rootstock Plant & Garden Festival at Bok Tower Gardens. The event will run from 8am to 6pm. Admission is free. Parking is $10 per car.

The festival will feature dozens of plant vendors, live music and what is termed “a spectacular display of seasonal foliage.”

Vendors will be there from all over the state with orchids, plumeria, palms, herbs, tropical fruits, Florida natives, bonsai, aquatic and bog plants, ferns, bamboo, roses, heliconias, bromeliads, tillandsia air plants and more.

Also featured will be bird feeders, art, stained glass, wind chimes, lawn ornaments and other garden accessories.

All park residents are welcome and several people will try to car pool. Box Tower is 45 minutes north on US 27. For more information, go to boktowergardens.org/calendar/rootstock.

The Garden Club meets Tuesdays at 11am in the Clubhouse. For more information call Mike Corradino at 352-536-4732 or email mike@towntablet.com
